Best after journeys 1–3, but works on its own if your IEP or 504 isn't helping and you need a systematic way to fix it. See the full track →
Journey Overview

You've understood enough. Now make it count.

Many parents win Phase One: an evaluation happens, an IEP or 504 gets written, accommodations get listed on paper. Then Phase Two begins and nothing functionally changes. The plan exists. Your child still struggles. Meetings happen. Words get spoken. Nothing moves.

This journey is what closes that gap. It teaches you the procedural ground (how the evaluation system actually works and your rights at every stage), then gives you two practical skills: becoming a data detective at the kitchen table to gather the right evidence, and tracking child supports to prove what's actually working and what isn't. The result is meetings where you walk in with evidence, not feelings, and the school team has to engage with what you're showing them.

What changes after this journey

You will know where you are in the evaluation pipeline and what your rights are at this stage. You will be able to track the right signals, document supports systematically, and run a trial-and-adjust cycle on accommodations. Meetings will start to feel like conversations you're prepared for, not conversations that happen to you.

Who This Journey Is For

If you have a plan but it isn't working, this is for you

You secured an IEP or 504. You went through the meetings, signed the documents, and felt cautiously optimistic. Then the school year continued and the accommodations weren't actually helping. Or you have an evaluation coming up and you don't know how the process works or what your rights are. Or you're heading into an annual review and you want to walk in with documented evidence instead of arguments.

This journey assumes you have a child whose needs are real and a school team that's open to evidence, even if they're not great at gathering it themselves. It teaches you to be the evidence-gatherer who keeps the system honest — not by being adversarial, but by being prepared.

What You Will Gain

By the end of this journey, you will be able to

Locate yourself in the evaluation pipeline, distinguish between the three things that "sound the same but aren't," and know your rights at each stage
Gather kitchen-table evidence systematically — the "Big Three plus Time" signals (time of day, prompt count, load signals, emotional energy) that reveal real patterns
Run a trial-and-adjust cycle on accommodations: define the bottleneck, pick one support, decide what success looks like, run a short trial, and adjust based on evidence
Walk into IEP and 504 meetings with documented evidence, ready to engage on what's actually working — not arguing about whether something is real
Journey Structure

Three sections: the system, the skill, the practice

0 of 3 required assets complete · 0 of 5 optional. Required path is one module and two podcasts — all live, all substantial. Optional content fills out Section 3 with detailed accommodation work, much of which is still in development.

Prove what actually works

Track supports systematically, run trial-and-adjust cycles, optimize accommodations based on evidence

0 / 1
Optional · go deeper on accommodations
Several of these are still in development — flagged "Coming Soon." The live items below give you the substance of the approach; the templates and tools when they publish will make execution easier.

You can advocate with evidence. One journey left.

You now have process, observation, and optimization skills. Meetings should start to feel different. Journey 5 closes the track: humanizing the data, recognizing the hidden patterns (masking, twice-exceptionality) that can still be at play, and building the dashboard you'll actually keep using.

Come back to this journey before every IEP or 504 meeting. The tracking skills get rusty if you don't use them — and meetings reward parents who walked in prepared.

You can advocate with evidence

You've worked through the required path: how the evaluation process works, the data-detective methodology, and the data-tracking skill. You're equipped to walk into meetings with documented evidence and a trial-and-adjust mindset. Journey 5 closes the track — humanizing the work and building your synthesis dashboard.
